Maitland. NSW. Cohens warehouse built 1865 in Italianate style. Architect John Horbury Hunt. Different carved gargoyles above every window. Was 3 storeys high till 1970 fire destroyed upper two floors.

Young. The Young Railway Station. The railway reached Young from Harden in 1885 when the railway station was built. The grass tells a story as it no longer has trains. Now it houses the Information Centre.

Balaklava. Grand South Australian town house. Built around 1900 as wooden decoration on gables, two front entrances, cast iron lace work on veranda, gables on veranda etc.

Hamilton. Dundas Chambers built as shire council offices in 1892. Queen Anne style with double gables, wooden entry porch, unusual windows and perfect symmetry. .

Junee. Monte Cristo House was built in 1884 for C Crawley. Fine cast iron lacework of Australian ferns on the veranda. Bricks were baked on the property. Cast iron fountain in the front garden. Known as a haunted house.

Albury. The Australian Federation movemenn had its origins in this region. A federation era shop from 1912 with the Australian coat of arms on the corner facade.

Tumut. The Oriental Hotel built in 1876 replacing an early 1850 hotel. Has fine cast iron lacework on the veranda.

Kapunda. South Australian copper mining town from 1842 to 1878. Wonderful intricate pattern cast iron lace work on the veranda of an 1880s house cast in the Hawke Foundry of Kapunda.

Maitland. Grossman House. Built in the Regency style in 1871. It is a mirror reverse image of Brough House. When sold in 1892 it became the Maitland Girls High School.
