Burra copper mine. Morphetts engine house and winding house. Built in 1858. This great copper mine operated from 1845 to 1877. Morphetts engine house had a huge Cornish engine. Partly burnt out in 1925 and restored in 1986.

Carcoar. The Catholic Church built in 1870..The interior. The whole village is classified by the National Trust of New South Wales.

Bathurst. The impressive former Wesleyan Methodist Church is now the Uniting Church. Built in 1860 with the tower and spire added in 1876.

Port Lincoln. The first railway station was built in 1907 when a railway to Edillillie was built. This two storey stone station was built in 1927. This is the platform side.

Adelaide. Athelney House in Hackney with 3 storey tower. Built in 1868 for Peter Prankerd a land speculator and land agent. Sold to Herbet Hughes in 1874 and then to St Peters Boys College in 1952. .

Geelong. Market Square. This central town reserve became a shopping precinct. Solomons building on the corner with the cupola on the roof opened in 1913.

Geelong. Yarra Street. The altar and apse in St Mary's Catholic Church. Work began in 1854. The church opened in 1872. All work was completed in 1937.

Strathalbyn. Piooneer settler David Gollan who built the flourmill in 1850 built this grand residence next to the mill in 1849. Detail of a chimney through the leaves. The house is called Water Villa.

Kapunda. Architect Edmund Wright desigined this fine sandstone Anglican church in 1856. It was completed with a spire and clock. Kapunda is a copper mining town established in 1844.

Balaklava. Dunns Bridge across the River Wakefield. This was the crossing used by bullock teams from Burra copper mine in 1849. This steel bridge is late 19th century after the town was established in 1871..

Tanunda. This 1877 Hill and Son pipe organ was built for Adelaide Town Hall. It was removed in 1989 and put in storage before being moved to Tanunda. Restoration took 15 years. Now in the Soldiers Memorial Hall. .
