The Lodge in Strathalbyn home to the Stirling from from the 1840s to 1932. Their home called Hampton burnt down in 1870 and they moved into the gate house called the Lodge. They added extensively to it in 1873.

Port Elliot. The old Hotel Elliot built as the Railway Hotel in 1867 when the horse tram line from Goolwa was extended to the new town of Victor Harbor. It had an Art Deco facelift in the 1930s.

Milang Institute 1884. Opened by James Rankine of Braemer House Strathalbyn. Note all the ventilator grills across the facade. Built in local limestone.

Strathalbyn flour mill. This four storey structure was built in 1850. Sold to Laucke Milling Company in 1938. Closed 1961 when Lauckes opened a new flour mill elsewhere in Strathalbyn.

Gundagai. This flourmill built in 1849 was the only building to survive the Murrumbidgee River floods of 1852. The new town was built higher up the hill. It closed a flourmill in 1917. You can buy it now.
