| 説明 | The U.S. Mission and the Lithuanian Mission are pleased to present a unique art installation at the United Nations in Geneva. The installation entitled ‘Balance – United Nations Dialogues in Art’ is an avant-garde masterpiece by renowned Lithuanian-American artist Ray Bartkus. His concept was developed specifically for the Palais des Nations ‘Salle des pas perdus’ to reflect the core themes that the UN agencies and organizations tackle in Geneva: Human Rights, Trade and Development, Health and Education, Environment, and Migration. Ray Bartkus produces simple compositions using basic forms – lines and spheres – and through these forms translated onto panels using nails and metal mesh, he presents a thoughtful reflection on the complex and often delicate issues handled at the United Nations in Geneva.U.S. Mission Geneva / Eric Bridiers |
