| 説明 | Due to drought in 2012 our Extension Switchgrass Demonstration plots had only moderate to poor establishment. The Agronomy team decided if possible to perform a prescribed burn in the spring of 2013 to help with stand establishment in 2013. Burns help by removing above ground biomass giving new seedlings better access to sunlight, Causes the soil to warm sooner favoring warm season grasses, plus slows cool season weed grown. These photos are from our Southeast Nebraska Demo Site. (John Hay) |
