| 説明 | Arwen (left) and her sister, Galadriel (right), sitting atop their super-deluxe new perch located in front of the windows of my flat. These windows look north from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, towards Taunus, a small mountain range. (Where I come from, these "mountains" are known as hills -- or sometimes, as "mole hills".) Arwen and Galadriel are young adult (2010 hatch) captive-bred and hand-fed Congo African grey parrots, Psittacus erithacus. After living in a German pet shop for 3 years, they came to live with me (they were my birdday gift this year, arriving home with me in early January 2013). Image: GrrlScientist, 15 August 2013. |
