| 説明 | Lake Viedma is 80 kms long and is fed by the Viedma Glacier at tis western end. Viedma glacier measures 5 kilometres wide at its terminua at lake Viedma which you can cruise upon. The brown landscape of the valley sides is a result of ice scouring which has left little vegetation. Water from lake Viedma flows into lake Argentino near El Calafate. At low elevations the area receives about 400 mm of rain a year. The forest lines starts higher up where there is 900 mm of rain a year. The dominant rees are Nothofagus.Along the shores of the lake you might hear Magellican woodpeckers as well as seeing ducks , coots, parakeets, ibis and varipous geese. |
