| 説明 | These little yellow blossoms have been decorating the local scrub lately. Piedmont blacksenna is actually parasitic (hemiparasitic) on the roots of trees. Hemiparasitic refers to plants that can germinate on their own but, later in life, become dependent upon a host plant. Honey bees and native bees seem to love them. Seymeria was formerly a member of the Scrophulariaceae but has now been placed into the family Orobanchaceae. |
