| 説明 | Beavertail pricklypear (Opuntia basilaris var. basilaris), Cactus family (Cactaceae).Watchman Trail, Zion National Park, Utah.Most of the key features rely upon the mature fruit or the thin structure of the areoles (prickly nodes, regularly arranged on the stem). Without them, I can only make my best guess. This plant is mostly spineless with uniformly pink flowers which best matches to O. basilaris. However, the pale color of filaments favors O. aurea.Thanks Phoenix_DZ for the suggestion. |
