| 説明 | 130716-N-YU572-470CHANGI, Singapore (July 16, 2013) - U.S. Sailors and members of the Republic of Singapore Air Force discuss flight operations during a flight deck familiarization brief aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2013. More than 700 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Singapore. U.S. units participating in CARAT Singapore include the Fitzgerald, the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1), Military Sealift Command's Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11), embarked Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 7 staff, a P-3C detachment, and a U.S. Marine Corps law enforcement battalion. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
