| 説明 | Part of a Set[Album] / Slideshow showing artworks addressing issues relating to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and consequential Fukushima Daiichi nuclear radioactive contamination.A wooden board with the word FUKUSHIMA spelt out in moss lays on the floor, pushed against a wall. The artwork was regularly watered throughout the exhibition to keep it damp. The piece instantly evokes the areas abandoned by evacuation in Fukushima Prefecture. Japanese people don't loot, but wild nature quickly takes over.Because of the location, it was not possible to photograph the board "squarely" from above. A number of images (taken - in the low light - from the same point on a tripod) were combined using the photo stitching software Hugin. Before being merged into single images, it happens that the fragments happened to order into a Torii shape, believed to have come from the catenary shape of a rope hanging from two poles, a Shinto shrine gateway dividing the sacred and the mundane.
