| 説明 | Sarah, a staff member at the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, is joined by a volunteer in sorting owl pellets. When owls eat, the food goes into its gizzard where it is held and digested. The undigestable stuff taken in, bones, feathers, etc., are compacted into a small pellet and regurgitated out the mouth. These pellets are studied to see what the bird is eating, and also what small animals and birds are in the owl's feeding area. |
