| 説明 | The photo shows a German built M2 Alligator. The M2 was used as a bridging system and was designed by EWK of Germany. It is an amphibious vehicle which can be adapted for use as a vehicle ferry with 2 or 3 vehicles, or as a bridge with 10-30 units. In the water the main wheels retract, and propellers in the main hull and pontoons propel the vehicle. On land all equipment folds away for road transport. The one in the photo has been converted for passenger use and is used as a mobile harbour to take passengers from the beach to the boat in Caldey Island at low tide. |
