| 説明 | Lots of activities during the "II Rose Fair", or "Roses de Roses, II Fira de la Rosa de Roses" in Roses. Demonstrations of craftsmanship such as baking bread, carpentry, tools manufacturing and shoemaking but also falconry.The birds were tethered and didn't seem to mind the attention of the public and I got plenty of time to shoot the wonderful creatures (and their often quirky expressions/behaviour). Sometimes, the falconer would walk around with one of the birds on her arm.Shooting was quite difficult due to the harsh sunlight in the background and the shade which the tent provided. I have deliberately overexposed most of the pictures, partly to compensate for lack of light on the subjects compared to the background, but also to get rid of most of the annoying and ugly details in the background.In hindsight, in some of the pictures I should have stopped the lens down just a bit more, to get a little extra depth of field. |
