| 説明 | The Astor Place subway stop. A number of years ago it was restored to its original building. a landmark that gave New Yorkers a sense of the past and a New York that even made its subway systems a work of art. Now, standing directly across from the mirrored condo, it is a kind of anacronism but a welcome one, even though it has long lost its pristine newness. With millions of passengers trudging up and down its steps, or even just meeting each other here, it is not suprising. Yes, that is some pig's discarded coffee cup. As former mayor Edward Koch said in a commercial he ran on TV: "There wouldn't be so many rats in New York if there weren't so many pigs." |
