Mostly they resort to simplistic explanations such as "data goes into the cloud, gets sorted, and comes back out", or something similar.This infographic from ConnetU really impressed me, however, as it actually makes a real effort to illustrate what goes where, and what systems are in place to ensure that cloud computing services often get five nines of up-time.There's a more detailed explanation on the page itself, but I think this infographic will make a great illustration for any article or blog post about the cloud, software as a service, or analytics as a service.
