| 説明 | Bald Eagle State Forest, Clinton County.The bog forms the headwaters of Jamison Run, a stream that empties into the nearby McElhattan Reservoir. Highbush blueberry, mountain holly, cranberry, and leatherleaf form dense thickets at the bog's western end. At the eastern end is a large area of open water and flooded timber—the long-standing result of beaver activity. A forest of hemlocks, white pines, and northern hardwoods buffers the bog on all sides.. |
