| 説明 | Retired schoolteacher and former U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee Advisor Ellen R. Gust’s farm lies just South (downstream) of the LaGrange Lock and Dam in Section 32 of Cooperstown Township and in Sections 5 and 6 of Versailles Township in Brown County. IL on Apr. 27, 2013. All but 2 acres of the 271.5 acres of cropland on this farm are enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) with USDA FSA. Treetops that are visible above water are planted on a portion of the acreage to serve as a Riparian Forest Buffer as included in the CRP Conservation Plan of Operations. The remaining acreage is enrolled as wetland restoration and planted primarily to switch grass or other warm season grasses and includes some small shallow water areas.
