| 説明 | Milton Keynes (sometimes abbreviated to MK) is a large town in Buckinghamshire, about 45 miles north-west of London (where I would be heading for two nights). It was designed as a post-war new town in the 1960s.This part of the town is Central Milton Keynes which is a business district and a civil parish in it's own right.Where I am is on board a train for London Euston havign just arrived at Milton Keynes Central Station, known locally as Station Square. It's on the West Coast Main Line and is served by Virgin Trains for stations to Manchester Piccadilly, London Euston and Glasgow Central, and local rail services by London Midland and is also served by Southern for services towards Sotuh Croydon via West LondonThe glass office block is part of the station and was constructed in the 1960s.Long before the days of the Internet....let alone Flickr, I once spent two nights in a hotel in Milton Keynes as a kid and previously visited London, this was way back in August 1990!!Taken on Wednesday 3rd April. |
