| 説明 | At the National Memorial Arboretum, near Alrewas in Staffordshire.It was opened in 2001 by HRH The Duchess of Kent. On a site that was reclaimed gravel workings alongside the River Tame.The land was provided by Redland Aggregates (now LaFarge), who generously donated 82 acres of land. Later 70 acres was added which includes a wildlife lake.Parachute Regiment memorial.Green Zone. Near 332B.Consists of a winged horse, a man with a spear sitting on it, and a paratrooper dragging his parachute.My favourite sculpture that I encountered here. |
