| 説明 | Parallel events at UN Rio+20 Conference | Panel Discussion: “Water and Sustainable Development: The Elimination of Cholera on the Island of Hispaniola” at South American Institute for Health Governance (ISAGS). The objective of the panel is to promote the “Regional Coalition for Water and Sanitation to Eliminate Cholera in the Island of Hispaniola” and to present the action plans for increasing infrastructure coverage and delivery of water and sanitation services to eliminate cholera in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The event is aimed at promoting the Coalition as a support mechanism for efforts of the two countries and at reaching out to new partners. Dr. Luiz Augusto Cassanha Galvão, Area Manager, Sustainable Development and Environmental Health, Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and Dr. José Gomes Temporão, Former Minister of Health of Brazil attended the conference this afternoon.
