| 説明 | Notes: Described as the 2nd bicycle road race, Katoomba to Mt Victoria. Place getters r to l: 1st Mr Lee, 2nd ?, 3rd ?. The winner, Mr Lee, is in the cardigan. The photo description does not say it was a return race, so the location would be Mt Victoria, a distance of 17 km over gravel roads. In this case the location would be Ireland's Motor Garage next to the general store on the highway. The Great Western Garage in Katoomba had only one petrol bowser at the time so it probably is Mt Victoria.The first bicycle road race was over three miles and took place at Katoomba on 5th October 1905, the result was 1st Richards, 2nd Lamas, 3rd Cowling (Trove).
