説明This is Jo-Jo's box. When she was healthier, she used to like to sit in her box, especially when it was in the sun. We took Jo-Jo to the vet this morning to put an end to her suffering. She had been in kidney failure for several months. K. and I had been giving her subcutaneous fluids every few days, but it finally seemed to have stopped working. She was always a gentle and quiet kitty. When I adopted her from a no-kill vet back in El Paso, she was so small she was the size of one of my hands. We nick-named her "The Itty-Bitty-Kitty". She was never very big - I don't think she was ever 10 pounds. When we brought her in today, she was a little more than 3. She had become itty-bitty again, but not in a good way. Jo had an adventurous life. She was born in El Paso, Texas, but also lived in Denver, Colorado; Belchertown, Massachusetts; Keene, New Hampshire; Leesville, Louisiana; Springfield, Virginia; and finally San Antonio, Texas. When she was young, she was quite a hunter, and would take out any bugs, toy mice, or laser pointer dots that came in her path. She would have been 19 next month. Our hearts have box-sized holes in them today, that an itty-bitty-kitty used to fill.
