| 説明 | The U.S. Mission sponsored the exhibit of Faces of Geneva/Visages de Geneve by Swiss-American photographer Josh Fassbind. The collection celebrates the multiculturalism of Geneva. Josh Fassbind set a goal to picture one individual from each of the 193 United Nations Member States, each person selected their favorite location in Geneva for their portrait. The project, started in October 2010, now includes more than 155 photographs. These portraits are exhibited with the individual's name, country of origin and one word that characterizes the participant's perception of Geneva. The exhibit will be on display for three weeks at the United Nations Palais des Nations 'Mezzanine' in building E. The opening, co-sponsored by the Swiss Mission to the United Nations, attracted a crowd of around 250, many of whom had never previously visited UN Geneva premises.U.S. Mission Photo by Eric Bridiers |
