| 説明 | We were helping Madeleine to build a wall so she could hide behind it. It was as tall as she was. We were just finishing the top row of the slanted roof, with a nice black and white pattern. She had kept leaning against it, and I kept telling her to stop, because it would tip, and I really wanted to take a photo of it. And then, with just a few more bricks to place -- crash! Oh, she cried and howled. Oh, she sadly proclaimed it was an accident. Well, yes, it was an accident, but I had told her if she leaned against it it was going to tip, and then she said, "I guess I just couldn't help myself." Next time we're going to make it bigger, with a door, so kids can get inside. And hopefully no one will tip it over. (The rectangular design was supposed to keep it more secure, since Madeleine started just building a flat wall straight up. But still not strong enough for a kid.)And I love the anguished faces in the photo, especially since everyone is happy now with the thought of building something better next time. ;-D |
