| 説明 | The Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) – Quantico and Fort Belvoir Programs held their annual Ice Breaker at Rose River Farm in Syria, Va., Tuesday, Feb. 26. More than 20 die-hard fly fishermen/women participated in the event. There were five Warriors from Fort Belvoir, five Warriors from Quantico with an additional three Warriors from the Richmond PHWFF program. The all-day event started early and the rain began late morning with temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 30s. Participants waded into the cool stream and fished as guests of Douglas Dear, owner of Rose River Farm and Chairman of the Board of Project Healing Waters. Several different fish were caught including rainbow, brown and brook trout. The best flies of the day included a zebra midge, Y2K egg pattern and a black woolly bugger. Lunch for all participants was provided by PHWFF Fort Belvoir Program Lead, Bob Gartner.Two new Warriors attended and everyone caught fish. Two Warriors caught their first fish on a fly rod!!
