| 説明 | More than 1,000 people gathered at Tuna Harbor Park to view the dedication of the permanent bronze version of "Unconditional Surrender" on Feb. 16, 2013. During the ceremony, the Port of San Diego formally accepted the 25-foot sculpture from the USS Midway Museum. Architect and former Port Public Art Committee Member Don Reeves and wife Julie were thanked during the ceremony. In 2006, Reeves proposed the idea of borrowing the temporary urethane version of "Unconditional Surrender" to display along the waterfront.(Photo Courtesy: Dale Frost) |
