We were in a recreational area, a portion of the dunes reserved for ATV-ing and camping. The Dunes are a surreal, beautiful place, and although this was just a quick stop along the road to San Diego, it was one of the highlights of our trip.Imagine, if you will, trekking through the endless desert, and coming upon an outpost unknown to you. You are in great need of water, food, and supplies, as well as a good rest. The light leaks represent the encroaching fatigue upon your vision, as you deal with the relentless bright sunlight.
