| 説明 | The U.S. Mission organized an exhibit and film presentation to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) with the Swiss and Thai Missions to the UN and the CITES Secretariat. The exhibit featured photographs of species protected under CITES, and were selected from a series of posters on “Biodiversity” and “The Forest, a Living Community” provided by the Good Planet Foundation. The films presented included two productions by CITES highlighting efforts to protect the vicunas in Peru and to combat poaching and international trade of rhinoceros, and one public service announcement produced by the U.S. Department of State and the Coalition against Wildlife Trafficking featuring Harrison Ford. The exhibit will be on display until February 22 at the United Nations in Geneva.U.S. Mission Photo by Eric Bridiers |
