| 説明 | Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Kimpton, Hertfordshire. Grade I. Photographed 1 January 2013.Another view of the Nave, featuring the benches and hassocks underneath, plus some of the North Aisle. I took this shot for the benches but it's my only shot that includes the North Aisle (other than the stained glass there), since it is more modern. The North Aisle was originally narrow at about 6 feet wide, and was added to the church in the 12th century in the same way I previously described for the South Aisle. The North Aisle was apparently added before the South. It was rebuilt in the 19th century to its present size. |
