| 説明 | Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Kimpton, Hertfordshire. Grade I. Photographed 1 January 2013.Now onto the stained glass! This is the three-light window from the previous picture, at the east end of the church, in the chancel. This window is dedicated to Thomas Brand's nephew, Thomas Crosbie William Trevor, the 22nd Lord Dacre. Thomas Brand was the 20th Lord Dacre, and had no children so was succeeded by his brother, Henry Otway Trevor. Thomas Trevor's brother, Henry Bouverie William Brand, became the 23rd Lord Dacre, and was also the 1st Viscount Hampden, but there is no memorial to him in the church. The glass in this window was by Mayer of Munich, c.1890.My next problem is remembering which window is which in the next photos! |
