| 説明 | SOOC = straight out of the cameraHaving completed the first two challot, I made a larger, five braid challah, dented the top along its length and pressed one of the three braid challot onto the top of the five braid one... That created the double tall challah on the left. I left one end open so it formed a Hamsah or hand. (Hamesh means five in Hebrew.)This Challah Project took the whole day on Friday, starting about 10AM. I was worried that I wouldn't get it into the oven before Sundown, which is the start of Shabbat, or the start of the Sabbath. I did succeed...;)) What a relief!! |
