| 説明 | This simple, rectangular rural church is situated on a small rise overlooking a hamlet of farm worker’s cottages and is surrounded by a large graveyard. It went out of ecclesiastical use many years ago and is now in a dangerous condition, with the roof collapsing, the windows smashed and vegetation growing up the walls.There is an important collection of 18th century gravestones in the surrounding graveyard, which is still in use. The earliest dated one is 1720.Source: www.scottishchurches.org.ukThis photo was shot in the middle of the day with a polarizing filter to darken the sky. It was then converted to greyscale with the blue channel darkened to provide the almost black, dramatic sky. |
