| 説明 | The Red-Crowned Parakeet is extinct on the New Zealand mainland, but breeds well in captivity. Although they are parrots, their behaviour is similiar to that of budgies. Their Māori name, Kākāriki, means 'green' and is a reference to their bright feathers (I think). This was taken at Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park, Rotorua.Press 'L' to view on black. |
