説明 | Dargah Qutub SahibBorn in, Persia Khwaja Qutub-ud-din Bakhtyar Kaki, also known.as Qutub Sahib came to Delhi, after wandering through Khurasan and Baghdad. Once here he became attached to Khwaja Moinudin Chisti, the founder of the Chisti order of the Sufis and when the later died, he succeeded to head the movement.He acquired the nickname “kaki” because he was fond of small cakes, which he was fed when he used to meditate. He died on November 15, 1233. . The graves of the later Mughal emperors, like Bahadur Shah I, Shah Alam and Akbar II, are in the nearby marble enclosure. Bahadur Shah Zafar had also prepared a tomb here but was deported to Rangoon by the British where he died |
