説明 | I had always been curious about shooting with Pentax cameras/lenses. When the K01 came out, I was intrigued by its looks. As a designer, I appreciated the KO1's design/effort that went into the design process. It resembles the older, Leica Digilux series—chunky and not necessarily the best ergonomically (or great looking). When the prices went down for the K01, I decided to get one. I haven't shot with a Pentax camera since the K1000, but having read many user reviews, K01 would be a good choice for a type of shooter, who's not looking for a fast camera, like myself. How do I like it?In terms of only shooting with the stock 40/2.8 lens, I am very happy with the image quality. RAW files are DNG files, which is nice. There's already a preset in Photoshop for correcting vignette and distortion for the stock 40/2.8 lens. Image quality and colors, to me, is unique. Colors are well balanced and images are quite sharp. I like the overall look and feel I am getting from the Pentax. To really find out that capability of the K01, I would have to shoot with a few more lenses, but, at this point, I am not sure whether I want to invest in Pentax lenses. Also, it would be nice to compare the Pentax 40mm lens to Canon's 40mm pancake (which I don't have). Focus speed is fine as long as you're focusing a still object. Focus also works pretty well in low light. For moving objects, there's too much lag and focus is slow. I cannot autofocus fast enough to capture my kids running (or even moving) around.Shooting at high ISO is where this camera shines. Shots at ISO 6400 are better than Canon T4i, but still not as good as the Fuji X Pro 1. There seems to be less noise in general than the Canon. Noise also looks better than the Canon's. All in all, it's a good (APS-C) camera, especially for the price. It's performance is mixed—image quality (with 40/2.8 lens) is excellent, but focus and slow. Ergonomically, if you have average size hands, the thickness of the camera should be okay. It holds in the hand much better than smaller, micro four thirds cameras, like EPL1, EMP1. The problem really is its size. It's almost as big as well-rounded performing DSLRs, so, it's going to be hard to justify getting this mirror-less camera over a slightly bigger DSLR. Unfortunately, I do not see myself investing in this camera. For an APS-C size sensor camera, there are better, more well-rounded performing cameras out there. |
