So there, it end up like this~This is the first time I tried adding mystery stuff on my shot -- since I'm watching Hyouka too muchThis is a "Slow Shutter Action Shot"***no photo manipulation here -- because I don't know how and I suck when I'm doing one.Yeah I called it Slow-shutter because its below 1/60 (regular bulb's frequency -- 60Hz). I don't really know what's the basis of others when they call their setup Slow-shutter but for me, 1/25 is already a slow one. And taking action shot, I usually set my shutter to 1/100+++.Anyway going back, I set my shutter that way to absorb colors and light -- since its already dark and my aperture is in the lowest value already. My camera body is Canon 1000D and I don't have that "vivid" settings like Nikon Entry Level camera does --- I am aiming for the sky similar to this one "http://fav.me/d5dytak". But it didn't work out because its already too late. OTLAbout the angle, I took the low-angle approach with an UWA lens to make Faye looks taller/longer (I really love the distortion of this lens ❤)Light setup, this was a three-light setup:- orange gel at my left- blue gel at my right- shoot-through umbrella as main lightSpecial Thanks to Kira and Dhenz for the light assistance, Mimi for making this awesome costume and assisting Faye Liper as always, Gelaii for photobombing, and James for the Gangnam Style BG Music. :DPreparation, Production and the Shoot:This is my first organized, full production shoot for this year -- It means that I supervised everything from planning, wig selection, how the costume be made, location hunting, set, down to the post-processing of the photo.This shoot kept me stressed-up the whole month of August because of the cost (sponsoring the wig, details of costume, props, etc for my Faye, and buying a new lens for that specific shot that I wanted (UWA) -- which I found useless in the end), planning, production (props making like extra mags and bullets -- which I was able to complete few hours before the shoot), and location hunting (almost cancelled the shoot because the location we are suppose to shoot is still on "for-approval status"). With props, costume, wig, gears prepared, still, some DARK AURA managed to sabotage the shoot. A lot of delays happened during the day of the shoot. I am supposed to get the dark blue sky of 6-7pm but yeah -- Congratulations to that DARK AURA we end up shooting at 10:30PM for only 30mins. XDImagine shooting without seeing the frame. No flashlights or anything -- its really dark XD**still with very few shots, I really love the output.**this is my pilot Entry for Cosplay Snapshot Project 3 |
