| 説明 | OpenStreetMap's GPS trace repository gives details of about 1.3 million trips of some sort or another that different people have made.This is an attempt to model the frequency with which trips of different lengths appear in those traces, following Nicola Scafetta's theory that people operate in three different spheres of travel distance (approximately <10km, 10-300km, >300km), with decreasing frequency of travel in the larger spheres in addition to the power-law decrease with distance within each sphere.I'm not sure if I buy it, because the exponents here come out significantly different from 1, 2, and 3, and there is a curve, not a sharp edge, at the transitions. On the other hand, I don't have any better explanation for the shape of the curve. |
