| 説明 | A Yellow Rose of Texas Blooms Beautifully In Tucson. It's in one of a pair of good sized flower pots at my front door...It's still Autumn, so we should have more blooms before any hard frost is likely...I know I guided the focus square to the center of the rosebud. Why did it ignore me and focus on the nearest leaves?I placed the focusing square on the center of the rosebud. The camera decided to focus on the nearest leaves instead... I think it looks for the nearest sharp edges. There are no sharp crisp edges on most flower petals over any length of the petal... I wonder if that is an evolutionary natural selection based on the vision of bees and other pollinating insects. Yes, they tend to have honeycomb detection cells in their eyes Those are probably not useful for edge detection of straight edges. I wonder if Fuji cameras with their hexagonal sensor cells might be better for focusing when shooting flower macros... They may use different focusing algorithms... That's a happy thought indeed!! I do hope so...IMG_1120 - Version 4 |
