| 説明 | Rebuild plate from Amtrak California # 2008. Apparently at the time of the re-build, either Progress Rail Services removed the original EMD builder's plate which is in this exact location on non-rebuilt locomotives, or the original plate had gotten lost sometime between 1994 and 2012.. Taken in Oakland CA's Jack London Square Station by a Nikon D40x with a Nikon 18-55mm VR kit lens. (at 55)I notice that in the rebuild, the locomotive lost 250 horsepower! (original HP for a F59PHI is 3250, as seen above, it now has only 3000...) This is relatively unimportant for the Amtrak CA locomotives, which mostly don't have any significant grades on their routes (except when they are attached to a Coast Starlight...) |
