| 説明 | The Idea of Revelations: Where we ask ourselves ‘was I myself when I made this decision?’ moments where we forget ourselves and find ourselves again in situations where we question what’s in our best interest. How do we know what’s in our own best interest?Qualms I & II addresses this: A Male figures leans against a red and yellow plaid-pattern wall. He is wrapped in the coil of rotary telephone, presumably engaged in a conversation with an unsaid character. Then a bright light interrupts him from across the room. An unexpected metaphoric flash that the figure doesn’t react to blindingly but seems content within his own space and how the light is almost welcomed by the room. Likewise, A woman leans into the light of the refrigerator, toggling the doors like a gate that is the fate of wifehood and becoming the role of the housewife. Yet she begins, slowly and hesitantly to pull away from the light as she begins to contemplate her decision by living in a betwixt state.. |
