| 説明 | What happens when a firework is defective? It explodes in your face..... It can happen to anyone, even experienced pyro's like us. 2 weeks ago during one of our displays, a defective firework exploded in Buds face. He was hit by a 1.5" mortar in the cheek, another in the right shoulder, and a third set his shirt on fire, the remaining 2 mortars shot the opposite direction. If the first mortar had hit 1/2" higher it would have killed him. We were 1.5hrs from the nearest emergency center. Fortunately two of us have extensive training in emergency first aid and were able to stabilize him, assess the damage and take appropriate action. I am posting a couple small shots below that were taken 5 days later. Let me just say it has been an extremely stressful couple weeks and thats why I've been out of touch.Saturday was our 22nd wedding anniversary and we were both extremely grateful to be able to celebrate together. He is healing remarkably well considering...and true to his nature he picked up his torch on the 5th day and lit the next fuse. (heavy sigh).... |
