| 説明 | Argyle Cut - The Rocks, Sydney, New South Wales. Construction started in 1843 using convict labour, and was finally completed in 1859 using explosives and council labour. The Cut was made though a large sandstone outcrop that divided The Rocks from Miller's Point. The original bridge over Princes Street was demolished when the Cut was widened during construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge approaches. Located on Argyle Street. |
