| 説明 | Seguramente muchas/os ya conoceréis -a través de la televisión, vallas publicitarias o anuncios de revista- el siguiente ejemplo de publicidad especista que a mi ver resulta bastante interesante. No sólo refleja el uso popular de la falsa distinción "animal / persona" o "animal / humano" sino que también muestra explícitamente el uso peyorativo que suele contener esta distinción que tan a menudo escuchamos. "Sólo los animales hacen x" (siendo "x" algo malo). Es más, si visitamos la página web encontraremos el lema "Da la talla como persona", lo que viene a reforzar, por si no había quedado claro, que una cosa son "las personas" y otra "los animales", y que "ser persona" o como reza literalmente el anuncio "dar la talla como persona" es algo necesariamente positivo.Aparte de esta cuestión, y enlazando con algunas reivindicaciones de grupos ecologistas tan especistas como este anuncio, el mensaje del mismo viene a ser una condena del consumo de peces pequeños (pezqueñines) porque ello impide que puedan dejar descendencia, lo que a la larga resultaría en una menor cantidad de individuos que capturar y comernos y ello amenaza nuestra fuente de peces o "recursos marinos" como a veces se puede escuchar.¿No crees que hay algo que está fundamentalmente mal en esta idea?The following example of a speciesist advertisement is quite interesting in my opinion. Not only does it reflect the popular employment of a false distinction "animal / person" or "animal / human", but it also shows explicitly the pejorative use this distinction usually hides, and that we hear very often: "Only animals do x" (being "x" something bad). Futhermore, if we visit the website, we will find the slogan "Be a person", that comes to reinforce, in case it wasn't clear enough, that one thing are "persons" and another "animals", and that being a "person" is something necessarily good.On the other hand, and relating with some reivindications from ecologist groups -as speciesist as this ad-, the message condemns the consumption of small fish (pezqueñines), because it impedes them to grow and have offspring later on. In the long term, this will result in a smaller quantity of captures of indivuals who will be killed and eaten. This obviously threatens our "fish source" or "marine resources".Don't you think there is something wrong in this? |
