Rachel said it wouldn’t accelerate potential skin cancer – panic averted.I used to type symptoms in google when I thought I had any. After having cancer in every part of my body, and early onset Parkinson’s twice, I stopped diagnosing myself.The funny thing about travelling as that you’re on hyper alert for any sign of sickness. Rachel complains almost every day of having a stomach ache, which then turns into nothing. She’s utterly paranoid about the food. She’s had food poisoning 100 times in 6 months…in her head.I tell her she probably just needs to spend a while on toilet (this is polite blog language), or what the Indonesians call ‘Air besar’ (Big water)!Tomorrow morning we’ll fly to Jakarta. Someone from the hotel is coming to meet us at the airport. I’ve always wanted someone to have my name on a board at arrivals. It’s so much easier than fighting with taxi drivers for a decent price.If the board says ‘Mr. Rachel’ on it I’ll be livid. I’ve had enough of that little Indonesian quirk. Rachel was called ‘Mrs. Jimmy’ yesterday. I enjoyed that – it was about time.Today’s Photo – A sunrise from IjenI was virtually running up the hill to catch the sunrise on top of Ijen crater. Sadly I missed it. But I did manage to capture a few nice moments along the way. |
