| 説明 | Tracy - All-Star 5 month old player!BARCS, the largest companion animal shelter in Maryland, takes in almost 12,000 dogs and cats a year, plus over 800 exotic wildlife and small mammals. A non-profit organization, BARCS has saved over 40,000 animals in its six years of existence. Every day, 250 animals are living at BARCS, over 200 are being cared for in foster care and roughly 35 new animals arrive at the shelter daily. Volunteers and donations are always needed and welcomed.Play Group is the most exciting and important activity that the dogs at BARCS have available to them, and is an essential part of the Enrichment Program at BARCS. BARCS is the only area shelter that has implemented Play Group as taught by Aimee Sadler, nationally renowned dog trainer and Play Group expert. Play Group helps improve the quality of life of our dogs while they are in our care and also where we learn the most about their behavior. Play Group allows our dogs to burn excess energy and to build social skills in a pack setting, and is the most effective behavior modification tool.Working with Play Group is one of many ways that you could help at BARCS.
