| 説明 | (and I did a better job later: www.flickr.com/photos/wbaiv/7785846084/) I had to do some digging but this is, without a doubt, the constellation Sagittarius, as Ted had already written by the time I figured it out! My 'break in' point was a nice photo at Wikipedia, seen here at full size: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f0/Under_t...The "teapot" shape of Sagittarius and the arc of Corona Australis are clear even in the small size picture in the Wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milkyway. More detail at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sagittarius_constellation_deta....Here's a nice map at the same perspective: www.astro.wisc.edu/~dolan/constellations/skycharts/sag.gifGoogle gives my location here as 36.87301,-121.822777; 36.87 degrees North, 121.82 degrees West. Local time was between midnight and 1:00am.DSC_0009 |
