| 説明 | The lady on the right is the volunteer coordinator for Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. She "loaned" me her summer Teen Group to assist in planting the Camas Seeds. The Camas flower is very pretty as you can see in this picture. But more importantly the plant was and remains an important food source for Native Americans of the Northwest USA.With this project we are trying to increase the numbers of this native plant at Jackson Bottom. In this area and a similar area on the other side of the wetlands, we planted around 32,000 seeds. The seeds were gathered from an area about 100 yards from this location. |
