説明Walking along Via Roma (Via Toledo) in Naples.This is the Palazzo Banco di Napoli - home of Banco di Napoli in Naples.Architect was Marcello Piacentini. Built 1939.It was founded in Napoli in 1539 (the bank).Initially the headquarters of the Banco di Napoli was located in St. James Palace which was built in the early nineteenth century by Stefano Gasse as the seat of the ministries of the Kingdom of Bourbon , an area that previously housed a convent, a hospital area and the church St. James of the Spaniards, which was included in the new building.The building, shaped like a square, was fitted with a tunnel passing through the internal iron and glass into direct contact with the Toledo City Hall Square, which were the two streets that bordered the palace to the south and north.In the thirties of the twentieth century in a full fascist , when Joseph was Frignani bank manager, on the occasion of the four hundred years since the founding of the Bank was decided to build a new headquarters building by demolishing the northern part of St. James and the tunnel Gasse.The project was entrusted to Marcello Piacentini (already an accomplished architect and urban planner), which, in the working space, was able to demonstrate a special and heightened classicism . He adopted the above method of chiaroscuro, assuming different colors depending on the environments.Of particular importance are the rooms on the second floor of the building, among which is the hall of meetings with its windows and cabinet with marbles coming from ' Ethiopia .In the eighties of the twentieth century the prospect was advanced on a project by Nicola Pagliara , who added two fountains.
