| 説明 | This scale model is part of the V&A's exhibition, British Design 1948–2012: Innovation in the Modern Age, which focuses on 350 examples of British post-war art and design starting with the 1948 ‘Austerity Games' to the present day London 2012 Games.More museum info: www.vam.ac.uk/Architect Zaha Hadid's Games venue was inspired by the fluid geometry of water in motion. Its undulating steel-framed and timbre-clad roof sweeps up from the ground, enclosing the pools. You can't see this open, "floating" effect during London 2012 because of the addition of two temporary stands on either side that will accommodate 15,000 spectators. In other words, the scale model is what the building will look like after the Games are finished.www.zaha-hadid.com/architecture/london-aquatics-centre/ |
